Industrial Integration Engineer
Build reliable connections between industrial sources and the systems that use their data.
The role
Connect historians, control systems and enterprise sources, then validate that data arrives with the expected timing, quality and context.
What you may be doing
- Connect and validate sources such as AVEVA PI, AVEVA Wonderware, DeltaV, FactoryTalk, SQL databases and MQTT brokers
- Configure and deploy edge connectors, relays and gateways at client sites
- Design tag discovery, naming and historical backfill approaches
- Work with customer IT and OT teams to establish approved connectivity through firewalls and DMZs
- Troubleshoot data gaps, latency and quality problems
- Document architectures, configurations and handover procedures
- Feed field findings back to the developers building the connectors
Essential
- Solid understanding of historians and time-series data
- Calm, methodical integration troubleshooting
- Comfortable with SQL
- Networking fundamentals: firewalls, DMZs, secure connectivity
- Clear written documentation
